The Bellow of the Beast: Children's Book
Two of my creative process students, sisters Kristann and Megann Kammerman, wrote and illustrated a children’s book published last year through First World. It’s called The Bellow of the Beast. This is the story in a nutshell: This charming children's book addresses the topic of fear in an utterly disarming manner. A child ventures into a cave and comes upon a scary beast with a very scary roar! What happens next?
This story may be written for young children, but it is subtle like a Zen riddle and engaging for people of any age. Your eyes will go wide, you'll giggle and smile, and in the end you'll feel victorious. Both story and illustrations are adorable, pulling you into another world. It's impossible not to fall in love with these characters immediately. Highly recommended for anyone who needs a reminder to be fearless and anyone who is young at heart!
Megann writes novels and short stories and specializes in fantasy and science fiction. She holds a BFA in Creative and Professional Writing. Kristann is a recent college graduate and phenomenal self-taught digital and webcomic artist who loves anime, books, and watching men’s figure skating. You can order The Bellow of the Beast here on Amazon. Kristann also created a webcomic called Kura. You can read all the chapters here or here on Kristann’s website.
